Well that was a lovely turn up on the culinary delights. Popped in just before closing time, as we were all starving and didn’t expect to be allowed to sit down or to be served great quality food. All served with 2 free rounds of rum shots. The mojitos were delicious and not too sweet. The place isn’t a dressy place, but the team creates an authentic atmosphere and dishes up lovely food with great service. I will definitely be back to sample more delights.
Cool spot! Love the decor - a touch expensive but to be fair the portion was massive, the chicken fell off the bone Service was good although is cash only, free shot of rum at the end Caribbean lemonade was basically a mojito without alcohol and very nice
We both had a sandwich for lunch, one chicken and one pork. Both were absolutely amazing! Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. We will definitely be returning to try the other dishes on their menu. Lovely service and friendly staff
Brought my wife here for her birthday. The outside of the cafe, and the inside to some extent, looks like it's a greasy spoon cafe. But the food is anything but! I had the Sandwich del Pollo. This is the tastiest chicken sandwich I've ever had. Absolutely lovely. My wife ordered the Calamares Fritos. They were tender and beautifully cooked. Served with fried plantain and a salad, they were almost too much for her to eat! We also had a Tamal de Maiz for starter. This was also lovely. We finished with a dessert of Flan de Tres Leche. Stunning! Everything in the cafe seems to be cooked from scratch, and tastes amazing. I heartily recommend the Cafe Cubano!
I had such a lovely time at this Cuban restaurant. I went for the vegan ropa vieja and it completely blew me away. The flavors were rich, comforting, and full of that slow-cooked taste you hope for - it was honestly one of the best vegan dishes I’ve had in a while. You can tell they put a lot of care into it. The staff were so kind and welcoming - muy amables y atentos. They made me feel really comfortable from the moment I walked in. The place itself has a cozy, relaxed vibe, with music and little touches that made it feel like a warm piece of Cuba. ¡Mil gracias! I’ll definitely be coming back soon - me encantó todo. Highly recommended for anyone who loves delicious food and kind people.
Mr. David makes the Best mojitos on this side of the pond.. the food was delicious.. we tried the ropa vieja and the arroz with camarones. Service is friendly, they make you feel at home. Portions are huge..
Super friendly little place - definitely recommend booking as it’s very small and seems pretty popular, they had to turn away a few walk ins when we were there on a Saturday night. While vegan section on their menu, mojitos are delish and you get shots with the bill!
